This week Team 8-Bit worked on finishing up getting everything ready for painting the benches. we cut out all our stencils, most of which have multiple parts to overlap in order to get that 8-bit Mario look. After we cut out the stencils and got everything ready, we took some of them downstairs to practice spray-painting to see how well they would turn out.
We discovered that we get cleaner lines when we use more spray adhesive to hold down the stencils, otherwise the colors tend to blend a bit which takes away from the 8-bit effect that is necessary for our Mario theme.
After we had experimented with the stencils, we cut out the spray-painted images and used them in our presentation to the Arts Alive representatives, along with some of the used stencils and our presentation board.
